THE GREEN WITCH PROJECT aims to help address the need to analyze, research and make visible the use of cannabis by different groups of women from a broad perspective of harm and risk reduction. The aim is to promote the regulation of its therapeutic potential applied to the problems that can be generated by the use of other types of substances. That’s why we propose to give visibility and publish the experience of women users, activists and professionals from different fields.
It is important to address this need because the use of cannabis – in its various forms – and especially by women’s groups, has different characteristics. From self-care in domestic settings and informal networks to self-medication to treat physical and psychological ailments and illnesses, to recreational and experimental uses linked to strategies to reduce the consumption of other more harmful substances, such as alcohol, cocaine or heroin.
